CURRENT TACT PROJECTS
TACT’s first UK based project i-TANG, is offering young ‘NEET’ candidates, (Not in Education Employment or Training) the opportunity to gain the fundamental business skills. Each candidate will attend a 6-week programme including lectures held by specialists, practical learning sessions followed by a two week work experience placement. The first project was launched in January 2013 and from the 12 candidates who started the programme 5 are now in employment with a further 5 currently working through the interview process (2 withdrew).
Our latest project:
This project gives young women in Nigeria, the opportunity to build their own sustainable design business and ultimately reinvest some of the original grant back into the charity for the next batch of women. After a year of training, the first group of girls were able to graduate, being gifted their own sewing machine to work. Running for 4 years, Fashion Design is a well established project, sponsoring 12 girls each year. TACT is eager to continue this life changing project and help more families gain a sustainable income.
COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH
